以色列公司稱新藥4週內，可消除高達99%的HIV病毒

Zion Medical，一家開發愛滋病毒和癌症治療的以色列生物技術公司，近日宣布首次愛滋病毒藥物Gammora臨床試驗的結果，在治療4週內，消除了高達99%的HIV病毒。

根據美通社消息，Gammora是一種源於HIV整合酶的合成肽化合物，HIV整合酶負責將病毒的遺傳物質，插入被感染細胞的DNA中。該藥物可刺激多個HIV DNA片段，整合到宿主細胞的基因組DNA中，直至達成觸發被感染細胞自我毀滅（稱之為凋亡）的程度。Gammora由美國加州聖地牙哥的多肽實驗室負責生產，並破壞攜帶HIV病毒基因組的所有細胞，具有治療HIV感染者的潛力。

HIV是一種能攻擊人體免疫系統的病毒。使人體喪失免疫功能。HIV感染者要經過數年、甚至長達10年或更長的潛伏期後，才會發展成愛滋病病人，因本體的抵抗力極度下降會出現多種感染，因而後期常常發生惡性腫瘤，並發生長期消耗，以至全身衰竭而死亡。

目前全世界有3690萬人感染HIV，死亡人數達到1200萬。

聯合國愛滋病規劃署發布的一份報告顯示，由於抗反轉錄病毒療法的推出，與愛滋病相關的死亡人數持續下降，2016年首次降至100萬人以下。

目前市面上的抗反轉錄病毒藥物，即所謂的「雞尾酒」療法，只能抑制病毒的複製和傳播，但並沒有治療感染的功能。

耶路撒冷希伯來大學的Abraham Loyter教授和其研究團隊10年前，就已經開始探索治療愛滋病的藥物研究，並於2015年和2017年，獲得了肽的美國專利（專利號：9163067、9738878）。Zion Medical公司與該大學合作，研發了新藥Gammora，並進行了臨床試驗。試驗表明，該藥物在殺死HIV感染細胞的同時，又不會損害健康細胞，進而顯著降低了病毒數量。

美國媒體jewish press在2016年曾經報導，以色列Kaplan Medical Center與卡普蘭醫學中心與Zion Medical公司合作進行的實驗顯示，愛滋病病毒的治療方法，可能就在眼前。當時，Abraham Loyter教授與卡普蘭這方面合作，在8天內試管中的病毒就減少了95%至97%。不過，當時他們還沒有在真正的病人身上測試過這種藥物，只是試管中的血液來做試驗。

2018年7-8月，Zion Medical公司開展了Gammora的一項I/IIa期臨床研究，結果再次證實先前的臨床結果，該藥在殺死HIV感染細胞方面，是安全且有效的。

在該研究的第一部分中，9例HIV感染者，在最初的4週內，大多數患者的病毒數量，相對基準線顯著降低了90%。

該研究的第二部分，患者接受Gammora及其他抗反轉錄病毒藥物聯合治療約4-5週，結果顯示，在4週內HIV病毒數量，從基準線下降幅度達99%。

報導稱，研究人員將在未來的幾個月內開始第二階段的臨床試驗，預計會將患者人數擴大至50人左右，希望通過更多實驗對象及更長的藥物使用期來證明Gammora的有效性。
